FatScrap Bootcamp
The first FatScrap Bootcamp was held on Saturday 16th October and turned out to be a fun day of health, fitness and friendship for all concerned. We started the day with a healthy breakfast of stuffed buckwheat pancakes  breakfast and then Marjorie introduced us to the pleasures Tai Chi which gently prepared our bodies for the day ahead. We then continued to exercise at different levels of intensity until lunch time, when we explored different ideas for cooking chick peas and tasting the results. Neil then came along with his high energy and motivating Boxercise workout which was then followed by a delicious well earned healthy FatScrap brownie. We were then ready to warm down and prepare for Marks yoga, relaxation and meditation session to end the day feeling a great sense of achievement and well being. Not only did we all learn from the experience but we gained support and friendship from each other.

The next FatScrap Bootcamp is being held on Saturday 4th December from 8am-5pm so if you would like to be involved please contact me now to reserve your place.

Are you walking your talk?

We are all very good at telling ourselves what we should do, what we ought to do, what we must do, and we are even better at telling ourselves that we can't and that we have failed - a habit that can become a destructive self fulfilling prophecy - we talk ourselves into giving up!

Hi Sue and all you dedicated FatScrappers!

I had a fab moment yesterday which I just wanted to share with you all....

I had the pleasure of going to the Yoga Show in London with my wonderful and special yoga buddies. A day of surrounding ourselves with all things 'yoga'....well those of you who know me will know I was in heaven!! It's the absolute highlight to my year.

Well, this year was different as I have now started my teacher training so was looking from a whole different perspective this time. As I am now part of the Dru Yoga London Team, I was invited to join them on their stand at the show to help out for a couple of hours. This involved talking to the public about Dru Yoga, answering questions, booking taster days and selling merchandise. But also...it involved getting up on the stage on their stand to demonstrate Dru Yoga sequences. Scary huh?? Not a bit!!! I LOVED it!! I just went for it. Totally wasn't bothered what I looked like, who was watching me, what they thought of me....I felt so totally ready for it I positively couldn't wait to get up there.

Why am I telling you this you may ask..?? Well a year ago when the last show was on I was 2 and a half stone heavier and I had totally lost all confidence in myself. I yearned to be a teacher but thought I never could be because of my size and my low self esteem. Now, thanks to FatScrap and Sue I have rediscovered my self esteem, and I'm on my way to my dream of being a yoga teacher!!! Thank you Sue for all you have done for me. And to all you FatScrappers, hold on to those dreams of yours, whatever they may be. You can and WILL achieve them.

Lots of love Apple xxxx
