In your quest to be healthier, fitter and slimmer have you thought about how you see yourself? Are you always looking for and seeing the negative -what you don't like about yourself, how you don't want to be, all the failures you think you make?
Where your focus goes, your energy flows so is it worth the time and effort of giving all your energy to feeling negative? What would it feel like to focus on the positive - what you do like about yourself, how you would like to be and all the achievements you do make?
For some of you feeling negative may feel comfortable - it's what you always do, it gets you noticed, it allows you to feel sorry for yourself but it also can keep you stuck and attract even more negativity into your life. The thought of changing yourself into a more positive person might even feel quite scary as this might be someone you would not recognise.
When you are thinking of making changes in your life, first think about who you would be if you made this change. Can you really see yourself as healthier, fitter or slimmer person for example? Would you like to be a person who can say "No" to the less healthy foods and "Yes" to exercise? Can you hear yourself saying "thank you" to the compliments that come your way? Can you see yourself looking in the mirror and thinking "Wow, I look good!"? Can you imagine waking up feeling like you want to make healthy choices for the rest of the day? If not, then you have to ask yourself the question what is the point of becoming healthier, fitter and slimmer if I don't really want to be that person!
On the other hand, if you do want to be that person, then be that person now! The sooner you start making the choices that a healthier, fitter and slimmer person would make, the sooner you will see yourself being healthier, fitter and slimmer. Change will not happen without action, so today....
ACT AS IF YOU ARE!

Hello, I am now on Day 15. I can reintroduce dairy from today, but at the moment I am going to stick with my full-fat Natural Yoghurt with prebiotics...I do not feel I am missing the other dairy products I used to eat, ie cheddar cheese.
As requested here is the recipie for the soup I've been making - its delicious.
Red Pepper & Sweet Potato
1 1/2 lb Sweet Potato, peeled
2 Red Peppers
1 large onion
2 1/2 pints chicken or vegetable stock.
Cut the sweet potatoes into even-sized pieces @2 ". Do the same with the onions, red peppers, dont forget to deseed the pepper.
Tip them into a large deep saucepan, add the remaining ingredients and bring to the boil over a high heat. Boil for a few minutes, season to taste, cover, lower the heat and simmer for @ 20 minutes, or until the potatoes are tender.
Strain the soup and put the vegetables into a food processor, then whiz until smooth. Return the liquid and the pureed vegatbles to the pan and bring to the boil, season with salt & pepper and serve hot.
This soup also freezes well.
The colour of this soup is stunning and the best bit is it is very healthy..
I have training tommorrow, which I am really looking forward to - when training I do not feel any pain, I just gain... fitness = healthy..

Hi, Day 17 for me.
Again a good day for me, still not missing the junk I used to eat, feeling great and so very positive. I am beginning to feel so much better in my clothes, that tight feeling has gone - what a lovely feeling.
I think my problem in the past was I used to live to eat, where now I eat to live and make it as healthy as I can.

Well done again Bubbles! It's so great to see that you are managing to include a variety of vegetables in your food choices as well as a good number of portions!
I just have to point out that there may be wheat in sausages and sometimes sugar (as well as lots of other less nutritious ingredients!). Remember to check the labels of anything that isn't "real".
Looking good!!! x x

Hi and Day 20 is here.
Was working out at the gym at 8am, a great start to the day. Yes I have a training session with Sue early tomm too.
Had an early evening meal out today - its so easy - when I started on fatscrap I recall thinking that may cause me an issue - but it hasn't. You just have to remember the goalposts ie, no bread, no alcohol, no sugar and i am still choosing no dairy (apart from the Nat Yoghurt)

Hi bubbles
As I mentioned to you today, don't forget a vegetable portion with you lunch choices as you having been regularly choosing up till the last couple of days. It helps increase nutrients and fibre and fills you up a bit more with lower calories. x x
