Hi everyone! Can't believe it is almost two months since I started Fat Scrap! What is it they say 'time flies...'. Some people may laugh at this but believe me this programme is fun. Challenging at times but fun all the time. I'm thrilled to be on this road to health and fitness and can already really see and feel the changes to my apple shape!

Looking forward to all that March will bring and wishing the new Fat Scrappers all the very best of luck...I look forward to seeing your comments on here!

Well it looks like I blogged in the wrong place, so look at the buckwheat pancakes bit and it will be there!!
So today has been my fresh start to my new healthy way of being. Allowing myself the pleasure and the time and energy to look after me.
I have been busy cooking this afternoon and am pleased with my breadless bread pud- delicious recipe Sue, even though I forgot to put the egg in!
I have also made veg and chickpea soup and Thai green chicken and aubergine curry. Feeling very smug with plastic tubs in the fridge and freezer to pull out when I don't want to cook.
So today for breakfast I had porridge with banana with soya, lunch was smoked mackerel and advocado salad with rice cakes and hoummus. Then a lovely piece of warm breadless bread pud with spoonful of yogurt mid afternoon. Dinner was Thai green chicken curry with aubergine and rice. Plus lots of water. The money I would have spent on a bottle of wine was instead used for a beautiful bunch of White tulips and blue hyacinths. Pleasure all week instead of one night- and I'm worth it!
I did a short dog walk this morning and a lovely long one hour this afternoon. Now off to bed and looking forward to tomorrow. Great to be in touch with my fellow scrappers.
Wishing us all sucess.

Here is Jaynec earlier post that went to the wrong place!

Day one March Fat Scrap

My name is Jayne.........
Well I felt a good omen for my new plan when I approached Sues house and there was a big rainbow in the sky!
My first session was good with Sue giving the information on the eating and exercise plan, and being weighed and measured. That will be motivationg as the weeks go by to see the changes. It was good to meet Pear and have someone who has been successful on the plan alongside me.
Although I had shopped for food, I popped to the supernmarket to get a few extras and drove home looking forward to preparing lunch. I am going to try making the breadless bread pudding as I would like to have a sweet something other than fruit. It looks yummy!
Ok then off I go to make that and then give my dogs a nice long walk. More later...........

Hi Jayne

Great to have you onboard and looking forward to coming with you on your new health and fitness journey! What a lovely omen to see the rainbow..for me it reminds me of the Wizard of Oz story and how Dorothy's journey invoved her meeting with the tin man who wanted a heart (feeling), the scarecrow who wanted a brain (thinking)and the lion who wanted courage(action)- all the things she needed to be in alignment to reach her goal...and all the things you need to have in alignment to reach yours!!

Sounds like you had a busy day cooking and well done for preparing some meals for the week ahead..this will ensure you make the best choices especially if you are tired or in a hurry.

Your food choices today sounded delicious and well balanced with lots of variety and the all important vegetables and fruit!

A great start..well done!!

Hi Jayne and welcome to Fat Scrap! I love Sue's Wizard of Oz analogy. Just wanted to add to it by reminding us all that...as in the story...by going on the journey Dorothy, the tin man, lion and scarecrow all discovered that what they needed they had already. They just needed to go on that journey to be reminded. So girls, Fat Scrap is our journey and a big thank you to Sue (our Wizard!!) who will help us all to rediscover all those things inside of us which we need to help us achieve our goals.

Hi Apple and Sue, yes I loved your analogy and apples reminder that I have that in me already.
I had a great day today. After hearing that my daughter was safely at her destination in Australia and all is ok, a friend and I went down to the New Forest for a 2 hr blissful detox wrap and facial. A great way to spend Sunday morning! We then went for a 2.5 hr fast walk with my doggies along the beach. Extra effort involved Sue as we walked in the deeper sand.
Then home for a bath and dinner. I feel great and very relaxed.
Food choices today were porridge with yogurt, seeds and pear. 2 oatcakes and a banana. Spicy parsnip and orange soup, followed by Cajun chiken with a bean and tomato salsa and salad ( thanks to my friend for cooking with my plan in mind) and a piece of breadless pud with yogurt.
I noticed this morning that my mind was in a different place- much more optimism when I awoke. I realise this is coming from a positive position exercising my personal power of choice.
