FAT-SCRAP MARCH 2010 DAY FOUR

Welcome back!

Yesterday was the 1st of March, and what a glorious day it was!! The sun shone and signaled that Spring is just around the corner, and I wondered what is around the corner for you? For me, the sun and the new month brought with it a shift in my energy. I felt as if I had gone up a gear and that I could let go of some of the worries and fears that are holding me back. So, as we embrace this new month and its promise of new growth I invite you to share with us any choices or thoughts you might be letting go of and any new ones you are going to plant in their place and nurture.

Thanks for the gym session today Sue. I hadnt had one for a while and I really needed it to get me going! I can now say its now been a couple of months and exercising is becoming....(still not quite there yet) but more fun and enjoyable. I think it must be because I'm getting stronger and fitter and when I think about it, maybe its the exercises Sue is giving us that we do them to our ability and not to the best person in the class and therefore do not have the pressure of failing and giving up in my case! In Sue's paragraph above, I must say I'm letting go of treating this plan as a diet and instead of a healthy and happy future.

So pleased to hear that you are finding exercise more enjoyable Pear, maybe it helps with all the laughing we do!

First circuit training session today with Sue. There were five us and it was great to have a mixture of people. I was surprised that it was tougher than I thought. I have been kidding myself of my fitness level. I was heartened tho as Apple demonstrated what a couple of months on the plan have done for her shape and her fitness. Great to meet you all. Thanks for the motivation and encouragement Sue.
I also did a total of 70mins of dog walks and 40 mins scrubbing my kitchen floor!
Food choices today
Muesli with seeds, apple, yogurt and soya milk
Banana and 2 oatcakes
Smoked mackerel salad, 2 ricecakes and a pear
2 oatcakes
Chilli salmon, sweet potato topped with Sues mung bean curry (yummy) and spinach

Well done Jayne, you worked out at a great level today during the training session and had a very active day by the sound of it..so, perfect!! And perfect food choices...hope the muesli has no added sugar in it - so many of the ones you can buy have. I make my own using oats, nuts, seeds and fruit so that I know exactly what is in it.

HI Everyone
Well lovely to meet you all and look forward to meeting Fran too. Well after all that exercise i thought i would sleep like a log - unfortunately i didn't! Just every two hours then back to sleep again - i guess it will take me a few days to adjust. Anyway, today no pain! Fantastic! Also went to the cupboard and thought OMG what am i going to eat...but surprised myself when i found porridge oats, grapefruit in natural juice and seeds for my protein. Hope that is ok Sue! I will hope to go food shopping tonight. Loved your dinner last night Sue too - what a lovely surprise!

Hi Mara, I too had problems with sleeping, and thought exactly the same....after all the exercise i'd done i'd sleep like a log...but oh no, not the case. I did eventually get a good nights sleep after about 2 weeks...sorry probably shouldnt tell you that it might not be what you want to hear! You may be different though (lets hope so). I used to wake up in the middle of the night with aches from the exercises...so maybe just shows how unfit I was!!! Glad you all enjoyed the session with Sue....she's not easy with you on the first day is she?

Hi everyone! So great to meet you all yesterday and Pear...what can I say? I missed you!!! It was a great session in the gym last night, really enjoyed it and hope the other girls did too. I know I may have seemed a little over enthusiastic about the plan but it's exactly how I am feeling. It's impossible not to be when it has made such a difference to me. And...just to record on the blog my big news of the week - I bought a size 14 trousers yesterday!!! Wooo!! I am SO thrilled. First time since I was 18 years old so that's er...mm..a few years ago. Such a great feeling! One of my next goals is to be able to go into town in a couple of months and buy some summer clothes in those shops I would never ever have ventured in before...Oasis, Warehouse, Phase Eight - because I know then I will be able to fit into something there! Another goal is to be able to buy a bra 'off the peg' rather than having to get extra large 'only by mail order' ones. But hey, enough information there!!

Best of luck to you new fat scrappers, enjoy seeing and feeling that fat melting away and look forward to seeing you again in Sue's gym!

And finally ... Pear, I hear you have been out running?! Wow! You go girl!! I am SO proud of you and what you have achieved so far. Long may it continue for both us...

Apple....WOW I'm sooooo happy for you!!! What a great achievement you must be so chuffed with yourself, actually I can tell you are from your comment above! I bet it was such a great feeling and I expect all the passing shoppers were wondering why you had a big smile on your face!!! Go girl, and hopefully when I go shopping soon I will have the same results! x
