FAT-SCRAP MARCH 2010 DAY SIX

Welcome back!

So it's the second training session today for some of you and I wonder how you are feeling about it? Your body may be aching by now from your last session and hopefully that will just be some of your muscles reacting to the fact that they are not used to being used! The good news is that the more you use these muscles again the less they will complain!! (And Apple and Pear can vouch for that!) If you have noticed any pain in your joints then this is something we do need to take into consideration so please let me know. The other thing to remember that resting those muscles is important to allow them to recover and strengthen, but that doesn't mean you have to be a couch potato - keeping active everyday is a priority!

Morning Guys, didnt get a chance to read your blogs last night as out socialising! Good reading this morning though with my bowl of porridge and tea! I think this blogging is quite addictive (an addiction in a good way for a change!!!). Jayne, so with you, I would sit and think I have nothing to say, then before I knew it I would write quite a bit and be proud that actually I did have something to say without realising it! It definately helped me by staying strong and keeping me focused.

Pear....good luck with the x-ray results, my fingers are crossed that its not something too serious. I know how much you love your exercise!

Sorry I cant make the session today, I actually feel like I'm missing out now! My aim today is to do some fitball exercises Sue has taught me this afternoon!

Good morning, good morning! (I'm singing this in my head!!)..right Mara, great food choices all day but supper..Wheat and sugar!!!! I could suggest for future reference that an alternative choice could have been the other half of the 'Nked' bar. But don't worry about it, as you say, once your shopping has arrived and you have the alernative choices to hand you will find it easier. And of course we are trying to change habits of a lifetime so it doesn't always happen overnight. It might be worth thinking about what the purpose of chosing the supper was..was it really hunger, tiredness, sugar craving..? I would guess that your tiredness was a big factor and I can identify with this as I know that when I am tired I want to reach out for sugary foods..now I go to bed or do something to something relaxing that I enjoy to distract myself. Once you identify the triggers and coping strategies you use that have negative effects on your body, you can begin to change them for positive ones.

Pear..(or whoever you are today!!!) lovely to hear from you and have fun playing on your ball!!

Right, must go now..off to teach a fitball class!!

Sorry me again!! Just got back from a stock up....I love it when I have food back in the house, and Mara you'll find once you have the right foods, choices of what to eat are so much easier! Also I must say I had sleeping problems as I mentioned and I did have a few afternoon naps (20 mins) and that really helped me! So dont feel guilty if you need to re-charge your battery its better than reaching for something sugary, which I did used to do too!

And I meant to say Mara, well done and thank you for being so honest with your food diary. The more you can be honest with yourself the less you will kid yourself. x

Hello all
OMG is all I can say after today's exercise! It was hard, however great and inspiring at the same time. The going down to the floor and getting back up.......well, I could feel all my internal fat preventing me moving as I wanted. Horrid. It was great working with Mara, and mire space but I did miss the others. Hope to do some other sessions with you Apple and Pear. Pear I love your blogs and you are so supportive in your comments. Thank you. I too am finding blogging addictive. Also enjoying the interaction with everyone in this first week of my daughter returning to Australia. Warm wishes Apple re your x ray, I hope all is well. Your yoga blog inspired me to rejoin a yoga
class. I am off tomorrow. Sue, ball will get pumped up this week as more inspiration to work and stretch.
Sue I really enjoy your pearls of wisdom during the sessions. I am a person who likes to know why I am doing things, that understanding makes sense and helps me work harder, so keep them coming!
I continued my bursts of sprinting on my dog walk this morning. The dogs like it!!! They get all excited. Does this mean I have to walk further if I run some bits?
Food today
porridge with yog, soya milk, seeds pear and banana
2 rice cakes, slice Italian ham, cherry toms
veg and chickpea soup ,2 rice cakes, pear
small piece of chilli salmon
jacket sweet potato, tuna, rocket, cucumber and tomatoes
I cocoloco bar

It seems I couldn't have chosen a better time to start my new lifestyle. I am very busy at work and am already feeling more energy with good thoughts about food choice rather than punishing thoughts of what I have eaten. This is helping me mentally cope with my challenging jobs.
Ouch! My tummy muscles!

A fantastic day everybody..Mara and Jayne gave it 100% at the training class today, although they were much quieter in their execution of the exercises than Apple and Pear were in their training sessions...although if I'm honest it was more me and Pear doing all the "grunting" :0)!!!!!

Just think of how much you have achieved today everybody, and give yourselves a great big pat on the back!! x x
