Hi and welcome back!
Last week I suggested to those of you who are on the first month of the Programme that you now might like to reintroduce some more dairy foods back into your choices. today I invite any of you to share with us what you noticed when you chose to omit these foods from your choices whether you have reintroduced them, what have you noticed and what have you decided about your dairy food choices for the future?

The scales may not have been as kind to you today as they have been over the last few weeks Mandy, but you are continuing being kind to yourself by committing to eating well balanced, nutritious foods and exercising regularly. (Fantastic efforts today!!)Have faith in the knowledge that you are doing all the right things that have paid off so far and will keep paying off in the long term. Don't let the scales be your saboteur! x
Hi everyone!
Had a great day today! Found a top I have been admiring for ages in JJB Sports and was thrilled that they had it in my size, even more thrilled that they had a large choice of brand name sportswear in my size and even more thrilled that it fitted like a glove when I tried it on!!!
Some of you probably read this and say, what's the big deal? But I am SO excited about this as I have longed to wear brand name sportswear for such a very long time. I'm not a poser but I always envy all the people in the gym who have trendy workout gear and have always longed for some myself but it has just never fitted me. Well it does now and NO WAY am I ever going back to having to wear bigger sizes - this feeling is just way too good!!
Am on a complete high as well after doing Sue's fitball class tonight. It was SO much fun and I feel so energised after it. Can't wait to get back into the gym tomorrow and am looking forward to a busy but active week!
Am setting myself new goals now....Going to have a good think about them and what I want my next focus to be and then I will share them with you.
I'm still loving this journey to fitness and health. It's the ride of my life and I'm having so much fun that I just don't want to get off at the moment, I just want to keep going and going!!
Thank you so much Sue for your efforts to keep us all on the right tracks and helping us to recognise what is really important to us.
Am: Nakd bar, Snack: 5 brazils. Lunch: Mixed lettuce leaves with low fat grated cheese, tomatoes and chopped ham.
Snack: large slice of fruit cake. Tea: Steak, oven cooked fries and mixed veg.
Snack: Grapes.
Feel that I need to dejunk after the weekend and flush my system! I want to lose the weight so I need to get back to basics!
I can really identify with Apple's wanting a brand name! It's like a reward for all your hard work, fabulous feeling - go girl!Hurrah for you!
In fairness, I haven't really felt much change from ommitting dairy, although I do know that excessive dairy has caused me problems in the past.
What I have enjoyed is trying natural yogurt with fruit and that the rice milk is a good alternative with cereal (muesli). I have missed cheese, a handful on a salad or feta chunks. So without going back to big old brie and baguette moments, I am happy to have learnt to moderate my cheese desires - a little on a salad, not eating a wedge of it with biscuits etc.
Instead of always having a cup of milky tea, it is good for me to have a cup of peppermint. So I have begun to appreciate an alternative to the usual cup of tea. Although I really did value semi skimmed back with the old English Breakfast (as said rice milk just didn't cut it!).
Apple, so excited for you and looking forward to seeing you in your new purchases. I did notice the Nike top in class tonight and thought how fab you looked!! Everyone is noticing your new figure now and the compliments are flying in..I hope you are allowing yourself to take note of the compliments as you deserve them!
Well what next for you we wonder..new goals and unknown territory, won't it be exciting exploring just how far you can go?!! x x
Dusty, nice to read you are aware you need to get back to the basics..and those basics have to be focusing on eating the healthier foods. You have done really well to commit to the exercise but the two have to go hand in hand for you to get the results you want. It is important for you to get a clearer picture about the results you want. Once you can do this you will find it so much easier to stay focused.
Hope you have taken the marzipan and icing off of the cake now otherwise it being "no added Sugar" rather loses it's effect!!
Also I need to talk to you about breakfast as you are not eating enough!! x x
