Hi and welcome back!
And welcome to our new FAT-SCRAPPERS!
These pages are for you to use to help you with your motivation. Keeping a daily record of the foods you eat, your daily activity and any exercise you perform will ensure that you to stay focused and on the right track. It will also enable me to be able to advise, encourage and support you where possible and most of all, these pages will help you to help each other!
Today, I invite you to tell us a bit about yourself (you don’t have to use your real name), about what you are hoping to achieve by following the FAT-SCRAP programme, about what you think you might find difficult or easy, or anything else that you would like to share with us.
And current FAT-SCRAPPERS, well, you have had your week off and experienced following the FAT-SCRAP Programme on your own. Today I invite you to share with us your experiences and your thoughts for this coming month.

FAT-SCRAP ACTIVE REST WEEK - FRIDAY
FAT-SCRAP APRIL 2010 DAY TWO

Hi there!
I faced a few food challenges today as we had a family meal out for Easter and I was being told to 'go on, have some!' to just about everything - garlic bread, cake, chocolate, pudding! I refused them all! And it didn't feel like an effort at all - just that I knew what felt more important to me. We were in a restaurant so I did not feel I was rejecting anything that someone had made for me but I chose wisely from the menu - oven baked salmon with a jacket potato and salad. It was lovely and I enjoyed every bit!
I'm looking forward to Easter Day and who knows...maybe the Easter Bunny may bring me something....? I eat chocolate rarely now but when I do it is SO special. I don't buy it for myself so it is always a gift and knowing it has been given with love and kindness, I enjoy every last mouthful. But I do balance it out with a little more activity if I can!
I am a FS newbie. Today: Breakfast; Apricot Muesili with rice milk. Snacks were courtesy of Sue and she has given me ideas for the week. Lunch was an omelette (with chorizio slices opened from earlier in the week) with some sauteed mushrooms. PM Snacks: finishing up the experimental homemade flapjacks. Dinner: This was out at a French Restaurant, so I had been apprehensive about this. I had Coq au Vin (lots of nice carrots and chicken) with potato mash. For pudding I had a fresh fruit salad. Since I like wine, I really had a good sniff of my husband's glass of wine - much to my friend's amusement (she's used to sharing the wine with me!). My husband had the pleasure of being driven home by me - so he's quite happy for me not having wine at dinner for a change!! I was pleased that the starters were not to my liking as it made it easier to only have a main and a pudding, and not all three courses + wine(as I probably would have done!)!
Well done both of you for making such delicious healthy choices when going out for dinner.
Sounds like you are off to a great start Dusty..and now armed with more tasty ideas!
Big well done Dusty for choosing well on your evening meal out! I faced the challenge of a meal out with friends just after I began Fat Scrap in January and I was dreading it! What choices would I make, would anyone be offended if I didn't drink, how could I get away with not having a starter.... I stuck to the plan and made the right choices and after a great evening I realised that it was being with friends and chatting that I had enjoyed about the evening, the food was just an aside. Now I think of that every time I go out and I realise that no one really cares what I eat and drink, they just want me to be there. And if anyone does comment on my choices or try and persuade me towards a sugar laden pudding, I have a small smile to myself as I know it is just their own guilt they are trying to quash!!
So welcome! And enjoy your Fat Scrap journey Dusty, look forward to meeting you at Sue's sometime soon I hope!
