FAT-SCRAP APRIL 2010 DAY TWENTY

Hi and welcome back!

Whe you started FAT-SCRAP I gave you a wrist band with the words, Strength, Knowledge and Support on it, reminding you some of the things that FAT-SCRAP is all about and reminding you that you have all these things already, you just may have not be using them.

Today, I invite you to share with us how you are now using your strength and how you are getting stronger, your knowledge and how you are gaining knowledge and your self support and the support you are gaining to help you achieve your goals.

Hello Everyone
I am so very sorry I haven't written much lately. I have worked 11 days on the trot mounting up to 55 hours.........do you want to know what my job is??? Can you guess? I'm a Business Travel Co-ordinator!!!But anyway only got 3 to get home now and then it is back to normal. Have loved reading all the blogs though! AND....I have made my exercise sessions with Sue too which I'm proud about as i wouldn't have done that a few weeks ago. Loved seeing Jayne again tonight and Dusty and Pear on Tues. I have to admit though my eating has been a real mixture of NOT good and good but I am far more aware of better eating these days and i find that i have to concentrate more on one thing (the exercise) and hopefully the food will kick in too. Why I can't conquer both I do not know. You are all doing SO well and I am too in my little way. Mandy must get to meet you one of these days. Anyway keep up the good work y'all and thanks my lovely friend Sue to putting up with me...........and my language.........(LOL) xxx

Hi Mara, great to hear from you here again, and that you are still feeling positive about your achievements.

For some of us the journey might be more about making smaller changes and going a little more slowly and if this feels right for you now, then that's the way it should be. The main thing is that you are living a healhtier and fitter lifestyle than you were a couple of months ago, You are adapting to the changes you are making, learning how they effect you and who you are being healthier and fitter. The more you feel confident about the changes you are making, about who you are becoming, the more you will want to maintain these changes and continue on your journey.

So if today you are happy with where you are with your health and fitness journey then that is all that matters. x x

Mandy, Good to see that you were prepared again for your early start and made sure you ate something for breakfast.

A good example of perception for you today...you are stuck in a traffic jam, you have a choice of how you perceive this..fell angry and frustrated that your day has not gone to plan or feel happy that you are getting a chance to have bit of time out, enjoying listening to the music on the radio, feeling the sunshine on your body and perhaps some time to prepare for your day and how you can get the best from it. x x

Hi Guys, glad to see you're all coping with the challenges you're facing in a positive way. Why cant life be simple I ask myself! Still suppose we'd be bored if it was!
My food choices today,
Porridge and seeds
3 Oatcakes with Avocado and chicken
Cajun Chicken with rice and salad
Fruit and nut slice
I really focused today on what I was eating as I knew I was going to blog it!! I think this is a very good tool for me as it really does make me more aware of what I am eating!

AM: Muesli and semi skimmed milk.
Snack: 5 Brazils.
Lunch time session with Sue and Pear, really enjoyed that. The weather was good, but not too hot or windy. Enjoyed tried Sainsbury's Bean Salad and veg Falafel and Burger (by Cauldron?). Felt left leg/arm had been well stretched the next day!
Found out the Balloon Flight is on for good! Dash out to have lunch out.
In fairness I totally forgot to think about wheat and thought that as the evening would be quite late, I would eat a substantial lunch. I picked a Lasagne, thinking this would fuel me til later. Only when I was a few mouthfuls in, did I actually think that the pasta layers contained wheat - I was gutted with myself, but thought that I will think a bit more about what goes in before I just go for it!!
Evening: Balloon flight from Henley on Thames - hurrah - quite fantastic! I was apprehensive at forst and was quite happy to settle back into the middle area of the compartment, slowly gaining my confidence to look over the edge. I had thought I may have knelt on the seats so I diddn't feel was looking over the edge too much! However I settled into it and it was well worth it! Thank you Tesco Clubcard vouchers!
I did have two glasses of Champers (thanks to Sue for reminding me and allowing me to realise that it's nice to have a treat - maybe not just everyday!!).
Tea: Tesco Sushi (I don't mind fish in this way!), bag of Walkers Crisps (haven't had crisps for a month or so now) and a bottle of water.
