FAT-SCRAP APRIL 2010 DAY EIGHT

Hi and welcome back!

Today is the end of the first week of FAT-SCRAP for some of you and we are meeting up for some mental training as well as physical training. As usual I am nervous about the weigh-in, as I know it can be a big motivator or demotivator. All I can say is a repeat of my comments yesterday..Is the number on the scales a realistic measure of your success this week?

I would suggest that you meausre your succcess on your achievements this week and, as a summary, perhaps you could share with us some of the changes you have made to what you do and how you think and feel about your health, fitness, diet and exercise since you have been on the FAT-SCRAP programme.

Also, if you feel you can, please share with us any difficulties you have had, and how you might be able to overcome these in the future.

I would also like to add here today a reminder that you are now on a journey of health and fitness and hopefully it is a journey you will want to be on every day for the rest of your life. I will always want to be healthy and fit so that I am well enough to enjoy what comes my way, strong enough to cope with what life throws at me and not get knoked down, have enough energy to live a long and not get worn out..and many more reasons! So,I can't imagine that there will ever be a point when I give up working on keeping healthy and fit, and I hope that now you have started your journey you will feel the same.

I like to think of FAT-SCRAP as a tool box to help you on your journey and all the different parts of the FAT-SCRAP Programme are tools in your tool box. These are tools that I know work and can help make your journey easier and successful but at the end of the day, it is up to you to use them. And the more tools you use and the more often you use them, the more likely you will move along your journey and reach your outcomes quickly.

So, it's up to you really. You have invested in this tool box and have been trying out the tools....now the questions you might like to ask yourself are
"Am I using all the tools?"
"Which tools are working for me and how?"
"What can I do to make the tools work better for me?"
"What is the purpose of me not using all the tools?"
"Which tools do I believe will help me?"
"Which tools do I believe won't help me?"
"Which tools do I think are too difficult or dangerous for me to use?"
"Which tools are working well for me?"
"Which tools could I make better use of?"

..and I'm sure you could think of lots more questions and answers!

So, in summary: leave the lid of your FAT-SCRAP tool box open and remember to use what you have invested in to get your value for money and make your journey easier and reach your outcomes successfully! x

AM: Muesili + rice milk, peppermint tea. Glass of apple juice. Training with Sue - nice to meet Mara. I had a good work out session, now I know it's burn for 45 mins, then go home recuperate and see Sue in a couple of days! Lunch: Quorn chunks, Nairns oatcakes (3 and a Half - shared the rest of the pack with hubby, why can't they make an even number!). Topping: Had mashed avocado, tomatoes, some olive oil dressing on the half! Some salad leaves and 5 brazil nuts. Dinner out: 3 small chicken & chorizio skewers on a bed of salad, with a salsa style tomato dressing.

Hi all and welcome new fatscrappers!!!
I have had the most fabulous week in Cornwall. Not much phone signal, no Internet- bliss!! I stepped away from the world for a bit. Also stopped at a few stations this week too foodwise. I enjoyed what I had and balanced with a lot of walking and also rest as I could feel I was still recuperating. I feel really recharged and resolved to focus back to my journey. Looking forward to my next exercise session with Sue on tues. I hope I meet others there. I have missed blogging and being in touch with you all and all the support. I know it's important for me to stay in touch.
I will look forward to hearing from you all
food today

Hi Jayne, welcome back, lovely to hear from you again. Sounds like your holiday was just what you needed. Pleased to hear you stopped at a few stations too and kept a healthy balance.

Dusty, you upped the pace at your session today, very impressive. Know how you felt now Pear having to hold the pads on Tuesday as Dusty went for it again with the boxing! Funny how all of you seem to like this type of exercise!! Fantastic food choices again today, even going out, well done!!!
