Thanks for food diaries Claire, It's so good to hear how well you are doing, especially as you thought you were going to find this difficult. The same with your exercise sessions - as I said to you, you are a lot stronger than you think and always give your best effort so give yourself a huge pat on the back! Enjoy a healthy active holiday along with plenty of rest and destressing! x

Welcome to the new Fat Scrappers and well done so far Claire2! Your food diaries sound lush! I am recovering from a bad cold which has developed into my annual hay fever but have gone back on the tablets and today i can honestly say is the first day i feel much better. Hence exercise and diet has taken very much a back seat. Also had some very bad news last week which hit everyone at work - death of a colleague - and guess what - my weak point - eating.........so have to collect myself over this Bank Holiday again and get back on track. Do hope everyone is keeping well and doing well and enjoying the gorgeous weather (although it was raining when i came in tonight). You are what you eat, remember!!! Sue will smile at me saying that, won't you Sue. Good luck everyone.......will write again very soon xxx

Hi Mara, it's good that you are noticing how stress has an effect on your food and exercise choices. It might be useful to recognise that by not exercising or eating healthily when you are under stress from things like illness or emotional upsets, you are just adding to the stress your body is receiving. As you say "you are what you eat", so if you eat foods that stress the body, you will become stressed! And if you don't recognise this stress, just feel your body fat and how it's stressing your body everyday!

So, please, please, please, listen to your body - it needs exercise, it needs healthy foods! You need to keep your body strong to fight off illness, to be able to pick yourself up when sadness gets you down, to be able to keep being the bubbly, loving, supportive person that you are...please get back on track Mara, you know you can do it, you just have to want to do it! x x

Hiya Sue thanks very much for those tips. My body seemed pretty exhausted and I really couldn't have exercised when i had my cold etc. Hopefully now my hayfever tablets are kicking in and i'm picking up again. I feel fine in myself but hay fever is a pain!!! I know exactly what you are saying but keeping to just healthy foods is my problem as you know!!! I know i'm not in a position to say that as im still well over weight. It is a double-edged sword, isn't it, when you see such tragedies and think life is too short to deprive yourself of such delights but then on the other hand, i realise i have got to get the weight off to lead a healthy and LONG life. I have got to somehow get my head around it all. Have a wonderful weekend. See you soon for a good ol chat. xxx

Hmmmm Mara, seems we are both struggling. How can we support each other? I love our sessions as we laugh so much. I hope you can get back on track. I am refocussing at the moment.
