Hi and welcome back!
It's very easy to make excuses and blame others or situations that prevent you from eating healthily or exercising, so you might like to think about what might happen if you were to take responsibility for your choices in these situations. For example, you may be going out, so take responsibility for your choices by taking something with you in case you can't find anything suitable to eat, or eat some healthy food before you go so that you will not need to eat so much later. Perhaps you could share with us how you take responsibility for your choices.

A day of mixed emotions and food choices!
Started by waving off my oldest son on his first ever 'big' school trip - 5 days in Devon. I was fine until he cried getting onto the coach and then I sobbed! Really hard saying a long drawn out goodbye and waving him off but I know he will have a great time.
Then went for a charity walk in Hannington with little Josh in aid of Naomi House - lovely to walk, lovely scenery and lovely for us to have each other's undivided attention for two hours!
After the walk I had something I haven't had in a long time, a vegeburger in a bun!! It tasted good at the time and much needed to warm up but boy is my tummy suffering now!! Also had a homemade chocolate cookie (by one of the volunteers at the walk) which was lovely but did leave me wanting more....funny how even the slightest bit of sugar has that effect. I resisted though!
I'm reading a great book by Alicia Silverstone of all people...called The Kind Diet. She is a committed vegan and so that is what it is promoting although she does discuss the benefits of cutting out some, as well as all, of the foods vegans avoid. All very interesting as basically you cut out meat and fish and any animal products...eggs and dairy included in that. Then she goes on to say about the dangers of too much processed food and refined sugar and I thought...hey, that's exactly what the first two weeks of FatScrap plan were for me, being a vegetarian already.
It you are interested in reading more then I bought it from Amazon and its verrrrry interesting and informative about why we shouldn't eat all these things. But I warn you after reading it you may be put off meat for life!!
Hope you all have a good week fellow scrappers and look forward to seeing you all soon!
Just to share a scary thought with you from the book, because I have to share at least one....
Did you know that just before animals are slaughtered they are incredibly stressed...not surprising really as they face the chop! All the adrenalin - stress hormones - pumping around their bodies remains in the meat that you then eat. So in turn, those stress hormones are transferred onto us. Scary huh? Makes you think about what you are eating......
Sorry couldn't keep away!!! Loving Barbados but not loving the breakfast.well there is fruit but all the other choices are pastries and cake!!! Had to go to supermarket and stock up on supplies.
Battery is dying now so have to go..thinking of you all x x x
